Exciting changes coming!
Our board is currently investigating our changes to our business association. We are currently looking at changing the Matamata Business Association to be a Chamber of Commerce. We will be updating our members over the next few weeks.
The organisational structure has changed over the past 18 months. With MBA having previously worked alongside the Matamata Public Relations Association as an independent entity, a decision was made to merge the two into one incorporated society. The merge means members have an opportunity to be part of the decision making regarding Matamata CBD upgrades/improvements that were previously completed by the PRA as well as business growth opportunities through the MBA services. One board of representatives, one point of contact, same objectives for our community, service groups, tourism sector, CBD presentation and of course…GROWING GOOD BUSINESS.
The Matamata Chamber of Commerce and iSite bid a fond farewell to manager Memorie Brooky last week. Memorie received a “Key to the City” at a function at the iSite on Thursday evening. Her wonderful work will be recognised in this week’s edition of the Scene...
