i-SITE Centre Manager



This role involves effectively managing the i-SITE, ensuring a quality, cost effective service is provided. Responsibilities include managing the staff and volunteers to enable the Centre to provide professional service and advice to customers to the i-SITE, including staff development, rosters, and general administration. You will need to ensure the i-SITE has the necessary supplies and resources for efficient operation, while monitoring budgets, carrying out account reconciliations, actively involve local tourism operators in marketing and distribution opportunities and assist with relevant local events. At least one day a week you will need to work as an i-SITE consultant.

The successful applicant will need proven customer service experience, good computer skills with a strong administration background, some knowledge of accounts and the ability to effectively lead a team of staff and volunteers.

Hours: approximately 30 hours a week to be worked over five days (including one weekend day).

i-SITE Centre Consultant




This role involves offering advice and booking service for travel, accommodation and activities to visitors to the i-SITE as well as selling merchandise, banking and stocktakes. You would also need to help keep the i-SITE well stocked, tidy and well presented. This role is also responsible for marketing of i-SITE, including updating social media platforms, creating Facebook posts to promote local events, creating brochure information and helping to market our tourism/accommodation and eateries. Support is also provided to the Chamber of Commerce business including creating the monthly newsletter and communicating BA5 events.

The successful applicants will have excellent customer services skills, a good administration background and be keen to get stuck in and do what is required.

Hours: approximately 24 hours a week to be worked over four days (including one weekend day).
